PTA Reflection

PTA Reflection

(Sponsored by: Everett PTA Council)

This year's PTA Reflections prompt was about letting one's imagination fly, a prompt that can be taken any number of ways. The versatility of a prompt such as this one is that students of all ages can give their own take on it. There were short stories about dragons and unicorns, drawings of hot air balloons and birds, pictures of wonder and ideas of discovery. I was pleasantly surprised by the art done with the medium of photography. There were some wonderful, creative works that I would never have thought of being brought to life in the form of a photo. The colors and spectacle in each piece of artwork made visiting this mini-exhibit completely worth it for me. It's so inspiring to see children champion creativity over monotony!

The National PTA Reflections Art Education Program is an annual program that provides students with an opportunity to express themselves through various art forms. It includes dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. This program is open to students from all grades and abilities, and is designed to encourage creativity and inspire critical thinking. Also, it is America’s oldest and largest reflection art program. Read on to learn more about this program and objectives of PTA.

What is National PTA Reflection Art Education Program?

The Reflections program is a national-level initiative that has been in existence for over 50 years with positive recognition. The goal of this arts program is to promote the arts in education and provide a platform for students of all ages from nursery to high-school to showcase their artistic abilities. The program has evolved over the years to become a highly respected and widely recognized program that encourages artistic expression and creativity in schools across the country.

The Reflections program is run by the National PTA, which is the largest child advocacy organization in the United States. At the local level, the program is organized by the Reflections Chair, which is responsible for its successful completion. The Reflections Chair also sets up a Reflections Gallery, where all the entries are displayed.

Winners at the local level can move on to the state level, where they compete against other winners from across the state. The State PTA then selects a number of winners from each category to move on to the national level, where their artwork is judged against entries from all over the country.

One of the unique features of the National PTA Reflections program is that it is designed to be inclusive of all students. The program provides an opportunity for students with disabilities from diverse cultural backgrounds to express themselves and showcase their talents. The art recognition program also encourages parents and teachers involvement, as they are encouraged to work with their children to develop their artistic pieces.
